Xijara Gate and Walls
On the east side of the old central city of Ronda there is a walking trail which will take you down Ronda's cliff face. Long ago this trail was a military entrance road to the city; today the trail offers good views of the surrounding country side and a little exercise. The trail starts at the Xijara Gate and ends near the Puente Arabe (Arab Bridge) and Roman Baths.

Ronda is one of the Pueblos Blancos "White Towns". The houses are white-washed in the Moorish tradition.

In the last decade the pathway has undergone some improvements, most notably the addition of stairs at the bottom portion of the path.
The pathway ends near the Viejo Bridge, take the path to the right to visit the Arab Baths or turn left and head up hill to visit La Casa del Ray Moro.
