Head down
Las Rambles, towards the sea, and you eventually
encounter the very tall monument dedicated to
Columbus. Go past the Columbus monument,
continuing to the sea and slightly to the left (just
follow the other pedestrians), to the Rambla de
Mar.

between the mainland of Barcelona and
harbor's shopping and leisure complex.
For the 1992
Olympics, Barcelonas entire
sea front was renovated. Walk
across the Rambla de Mar and you
will find a modern shopping and
leisure complex known as Maremągmun.
After visiting the entertainment
centers (which include an Imax
theater) and the shopping areas,
one can stroll around the harbor,
enjoying the art works and the
harbor views..

the harbor seafront. A corner of
the Maremągmun
is also in the photograph.
Along
the harbor, one can stroll past leisure
boats and commercial ships.
This replica of Ictineo II was built in
1992, constructed out of wood like the
original submarine built in 1862 by
Narcus Monturiol i Estarriol.
