The Museo Arqueologico is a short but somewhat convoluted walk from the Mizquita. The museum is worth a visit if you are spending more than just a few hours in the city.

The museum is housed in a renovated Renaissance palace. During construction an actual Roman patio was discovered and is now integrated into the exhibits.
Photo left - a Roman copy, of a Greek statue, of Aphrodite.

The museum is free to EU citizens. Check with your hotel or guidebook for operating times. Hours of operation are different from one day to the next.
Photo Right - As I recall, this figurine of a bull dates back
to the Phoenicians.
