St. Michael's Cave is located on the south side of the Rock. It's a nice self-guided tour.

I visited the cave in early November, so there were only a few people touring it. I suspect in the summer the cave offers relief from the heat but is likely very crowded.

Besides enjoying the walk, visitors can read displays documenting the prehistoric use of the cave and its historic role as a military hospital.
