La Casa del Rey Moro Gardens are access by entering the Water Mine.
The Gardens at La Casa del Rey Moro were constructed in 1912 by Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier, a famous French landscaper. Among Mr. Forestier claims to fame are the gardens at Maria Luisa Park in Seville and the Champ-de-Mars gardens at the Eifel Tower in France.
The terraced gardens at La Casa del Rey Moro are not large gardens like those at Maria Luisa Park. Instead, the gardens La Casa del Rey Moro gain their power from ever changing elevations which provide fresh viewpoints in which to experience the landscape.
The gardens offer excellent views of the gorge, Tajo river and surrounding mountains.
