Can you
guess how many stairsteps there are to
the top of the Giralda
Tower?
If you said "zero", you are
right!
There are no stairs to climb in the
tower. Instead, you get the joy of walking
around and around until you have
surmounted 35 inclined ramps up to the
bells.
With plenty of windows to peer out of
as you climb the tower, you get some
spectacular views of the cathedral's Exterior and of Seville.

The tower's interior rooms are
now used to display artifacts
from the Christian church (and
mosque) predating the Gothic
cathedral. Among the items on
view are a door from the 14th
entury and the tombstone of
Petus de la Cera, who helped
conquer Seville in 1248.
Of course the real treat in
your visit to the Giralda
Tower
is reaching the belfry to take in
the magnificent views of Seville.

Perhaps
not the place to be when the
bells are struck.
