Supposedly, this courtyard is named for the two little faces which can be found on the inside of one of the courtyard's arches. Then, of course, it is rumored that before Pedro I redecorated this courtyard it was the original site of the Moors' harem.

Exquisite in its details, this rather small courtyard fascinates.

Ok, I didn't know about the two faces on my visit and consequently I don't have a photo of them to show.
