How to read a AVE Train Ticket

Outside Links specific to train travel in Spain:

Eurailpass, Spain and Portugal Railpass and Eurail Selectpass can be bought at RailEurope:

RENFE (sometimes, this link can be really slow and difficult)

Vending Concourse: Ticket and car rental area in the Cordoba train station. The long gray sign near the ceiling announces arrival and departure times.

Cordoba is on the high-speed train route (called the AVE) that links Madrid and Sevilla. Using the AVE, one can travel from Madrid to Cordoba in less than 2 hours; travel to Sevilla from Cordoba takes less than 45 minutes.

Escalators for the train bays.

After buying your train ticket you won't have any problems finding the train bay, which is easily visible from the vending concourse.

If you are departing a train and carrying luggage, you will want to follow the signs for taxis. Once outside, head for the taxi at the head of the line.

The train schedule I received for Cordoba and Malaga was in Spanish. Click here to view the Spanish train schedule.

Eurail Pass Tip:

Save some money by buying your pass before you go. Extra fees are applied in the EU.
