Roger Davies is originally from Abergavenny in Wales. After taking a degree in geology at the university of Sheffield he lived for a year in the United States before moving to London and then to the Caribbean for 3 years. After having spent some months in South America and following a course for teaching English as a foreign language he moved to Spain in 1987 with a view to becoming proficient in the language. After a year and a half in the north of the country he moved to Seville where he continued teaching for four years. He then returned to London to do a postgraduate degree as a 'European Business Linguist'. Back in Spain he worked in computing for a number of years before going into the wine industry. Wine and food have been two of his main interests since arriving in Spain and finally he was able to work in something for which he felt a passion. He eventually decided at the start of 2002 to set up his own company offering a range of activities related to food and wine. This is where he finds himself at the moment sharing his interest and knowledge with others.
